BEEBE, Ark. --Tonight we are hearing more from the family of a 7-year-old Beebe girl who was tragically shot and killed at her home last month."Every time I look down it reminds me of her and it makes me smile," says Danielle Wezowicz.
Wezowicz describes the tattoo of a picture drawn by her late niece - 7-year-old Karma Wezowicz - "That was our thing drawing together," she says.
She remembers the 7-year-old as a spunky, loving girl who loved to make people laugh. "She was her dads mini-me but had an attitude like her mom."
Tragically, Karma died after suffering injuries from a gunshot wound inside her Beebe home earlier this month. "Depression, I don't go to sleep anymore, thoughts of her going through my head all the time," she says.
This comes just three months after family says karma's mother died from a blood disorder. "It's a struggle we are very heartbroken over this, and if it wasn't for the people around us, we would probably feel like crumbling," says Karma's grandmother, Brenda Wezowicz.
But the out pour of support from her small community, helps them remember the impact she left during her short time here on earth. "It just made my heart feel so warm, and I didn't think it would ever feel like that again," says Danielle.
"Karma was the center of my life and I miss and love her very much and I will do anything to make sure that her legacy lives on," says Brenda.
Now, police say 26-year-old Jeremiah Owens-- faces upgraded felony manslaughter charges in connection with the shooting. So far loved ones have raised a little more than $700 for the family.
