CABOT, Ark. -- An Arkansas Army National Guard Convoy was involved in a chain reaction accident in Cabot Sunday.
14 guard members were transported to three area hospitals, most as a precaution.
None of the injuries are life-threatening.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m.
The convoy of 15 vehicles and one bus were traveling southbound on Highway 67.
The wreck happened just north of the mile marker 19.
A preliminary release from the Arkansas State Police says an object fell off the back of the lead convoy vehicle and the vehicle following could not stop in time, causing a chain reaction for the vehicles behind them.
A total of eight military vehicles and two trailers were involved in the crash, no civilians were involved.
A lane of traffic was blocked due to the crash, and was closed for approximately two hours.
The unit involved was headed to Houston from Jonesboro to support the relief efforts in Texas.
