LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- As Little Rock battles a surge in homicides, investigative reporter Marci Manley has been digging deeper into the root issus of the capital city's crime problem.
For the past two months, Manley has been working on a comprehensive piece -- designed for the national stage -- spotlighting Little Rock's issues. The result is hours of interviews that would've ended up in a digital recycle bin.
Instead, we're going to bring those interviews to you on Facebook Live to allow you to hear the full context of the story. The 6-part web series "Capital City in Crisis" will air weekdays at 2:30 p.m. on the KARK 4 News Facebook page through Thursday, September 21.
During episode two, we hit the street with Little Rock's CeaseFire street team. These former criminals give us inside access as they walk the streets. Plus, we take your thoughts, opinions, and questions through the Facebook Live comments feature.
In the days that follow, you'll get to hear long-form interviews from each of the individuals spotlighted in Manley's piece. The interviews will largely be unedited and raw (with the exception of edits for time) to allow you to hear from each person "in their own words."
If you happen to miss an episode, they'll be archived here on arkansasmaters.com.
