Cabot Farmers' Market set to Open in May 2018

CABOT, Ark. (News release) - The Cabot Farmers’ Market, in conjunction with Cabot City Beautiful, Inc. (CCB), is looking for local vendors. This will be our ELEVENTH YEAR & it already promises to be an even bigger & better market. With the current economic atmosphere, many people have turned towards backyard gardens. Many people can use this venue to supplement their income from selling at a market.

“A farmers market contributes to the social and economic welfare of a town & helps produce a strong sense of community identity together.” said Matt Webber, co-market manager.

The farmer’s market will stand as a common ground were people can interact with local farmers & fellow residents of the community, as well as a local source of fresh produce.

“We had fairly successful first & second seasons. Our third & fourth years were simply fantastic! In 2012 & 2013, we nearly doubled our number of vendors!” The Cabot Market moved to a new location in 2014, where we have enjoyed even more amazing success! Shoppers & Vendors are looking forward to a terrific 2018 market this coming season. Many growers, crafters, and artisans, right here in our area, have already begun to contact us. They want to be a part of this great opportunity, in order to showcase & sell their products!” Webber stated.

New vendors are welcome to participate, as long as their products are either locally-grown or locally-made.

"We also continue to recruit local musicians to entertain at the Market each Saturday. Any individual or group (vocal and/or instrumental), who might be interested in performing at the Market, should give us a call or email us & we can add them to the showcase schedule."

The Cabot Farmers’ Market will again be at its “RE-NEW” LOCATION at 1122 South Second St., which is the parking lot of Re:New Community Church (formerly the Bancroft Building). This LOCATION provides ROOM TO GROW, great visibility & allows farmers & vendors to sell right off the back of their trucks, just like the ‘days of yester-year’.

“We are working to integrate many new ideas & giveaways into this year’s market.” said Webber.  “We want an atmosphere that is friendly & inviting.”

Anyone interested in participating should contact the Market as soon as possible at (501) 920-2122 or

The opening date for the 2018 Market Season will be Saturday, May 5.  The Market will be open every Saturday through Sept. 8, from 8 a.m. ‘til noon.
