LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A local 11-year-old boy is facing a charge of Aggravated Robbery in juvenile court after being accused of trying to rob a woman at an ATM on Saturday night.
Police say the weapon he pointed at her was a toy.
It happened shortly after 7:30 at 3500 S. University Avenue.
The 68-year-old victim told police the boy hit her in the face with a plastic gun after she got into her car and tried to lock the door but accidentally rolled down the window instead.
She told police the boy hit her on her cheek near her eye. She was not injured.
Police say when the woman called to report the incident she said three other boys were also there when it happened. She said they had all run away behind the bank, possibly in the area of an apartment complex.
Officers searching the area reported finding four boys matching the description standing in front of the Big Country Chateau complex near a Walgreens store. The toy gun was found near them on the ground.
The other three boys were released to their parents without charges.
