FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) -- The annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ charity motorcycle rally is underway through Saturday.
Beyond boosting the Fayetteville economy, the annual event, now in its 18th year, is designed around charity.
Since its inception in 2000, BBB has donated more than $1.5 million to local charities, and organizers of the event say the bikers are aware of the good done through the rally.
"Our mission is to fund organizations that help women, children, and the under-served of Northwest Arkansas," says Tommy Sisemore, Exec. Director, BBB. "They come out and they wear their charity shirts and it let's them have a conversation in front of people that they might not normally be in front of."
Money spent by BBB attendees over the weekend will go to organizations like the Children's Safety Center, Restoration Village, the Boys and Girls Club and the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas.
