Arkansas Flu Case Numbers Described as Normal

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The latest information on influenza in Arkansas shows what health officials describe as normal activity for this time of year.

The Arkansas Department of Health's (ADH) Influenza Weekly Report for the week ending Oct. 7 shows sporadic cases of flu across the state.

Arkansas Children's Hospital also reports a low number of cases since Oct. 1. ACH says it has treated seven patients with positive flu tests.

There have been Facebook rumors stating that there has been a big spike in flu cases for Central Arkansas. The information from ADH and ACH should put those rumors to rest.
