LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (News release) - Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will host the fifth annual “Crush for a Cure” event, benefiting the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
Over the past 5 years, “Crush for a Cure” has raised over $20,000. The event will take place at the 2017 Arkansas State Fair, Oct. 12-22.
This event is centered around a clunker vehicle donated by Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram that will be spray painted pink for breast cancer awareness.
For only $1 the public can take a swing and “crush” the car.
Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will match each dollar paid, with all proceeds going directly to the cancer institute.
The event will be every weekday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Steve Landers will be taking the first swing with general manager Ivan Figueroa on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. to kick off the event.
Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is excited to also be hosting “Kiss the Chrysler” on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. One representative from their local charity partners will be selected as participants to ‘kiss’ a Chrysler. The contestant that keeps their lips on the Chrysler for the longest – in addition to a series of progressively more challenging tasks - will be the winner and will receive $5,000 for their charity.
