3 Fort Smith Officers Return to Work After Placed on Administrative Leave

FORT SMITH, Ark. - The three Fort Smith officers placed on administrative leave after a head-on crash on Friday returned to work today.

Officers Bradley Marion, Clinton Shown, and Zachary Hall were attempting to pull over a driver that was driving erratically on Zero Street just after 1:30 a.m.

The driver never stopped and then hit a truck head-on at the intersection of Zero Street and Massard Road.

"The officer that initially started the pursuit had a responsibility to the public to make the public was warned the vehicle was traveling the wrong way," says Cpl. Anthony Rice, PIO Fort Smith PD.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passengers in the truck were treated at the hospital and release
