LEGO Fan Expo

The City of Little Rock welcomes the state’s first-ever BrickUniverse LEGO Fan Convention at the Statehouse Convention Center October 28-29, 2017, for LEGO block enthusiasts to enjoy viewing and building interactive displays constructed with the popular toy. Founded and organized by Greyson Beights, a 17-year-old author, entrepreneur and college graduate, BrickUniverse is a LEGO fan convention hosted in cities nationwide. BrickUniverse is designed to inspire creativity and ingenuity through LEGO building blocks. Convention goers of all ages see incredible exhibits, meet renowned professional LEGO artists, and put their own newfound inspiration to work at one of the numerous building stations. Those include massive skyscrapers, world landmarks, intricate city layouts and much more. In Little Rock, professional LEGO artist Jonathan Lopes of San Diego, California, will showcase more than 30 of his select LEGO displays, including an eight foot LEGO Model of New York City's Woolworth Building. He will attend all weekend activities and will be available to visit with attendees about his life as a professional LEGO artist and how they, too, can be LEGO master-builders. Additionally, Chicago-based LEGO artist Rocco Buttliere will bring more than 50 massive LEGO models of famous landmarks from around the world. See Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building; London’s entire Westminster Palace; and more famous landmarks all built from LEGO bricks. Both artists have had exhibitions in London, Chicago, Dallas, Copenhagen, and New York. A special BrickUniverse Fan Zone will feature fan-built LEGO creations by some of the world's best LEGO Fan builders, including some Arkansans. Models will include detailed LEGO cities, towns, trains, castles, and more. Other Attractions Include: LEGO Friends Building Area: Many LEGO Friends building bricks available Big Brick Building: Younger attendees explore imagination through building with larger LEGO Duplo bricks Star Wars Zone: Spaceship building and more with thousands of LEGO STAR WARS-themed bricks The Building Zone: Thousands of bricks available for attendees LEGO Retail: LEGO merchandise and goodies available for purchase According to BrickUniverse representatives, thousands of LEGO fans attend the live LEGO builds, and participate in interactive areas supplied with thousands of LEGO bricks.
