JONESBORO, AR -- Dozens of people gathered on Main Street in Downtown Jonesboro for a walk Saturday morning.
The event was to celebrate the 2nd Amendment and exercise their right to open and concealed carry.
The organization, Arkansas Carry, coordinated the walk in honor of the one year anniversary of the implementation of Act 746.
Walk participant James Harris said he and others who open or concealed carry are the good guys.
"Just because we carry a gun doesn't mean we're criminals. It means we're trying to protect ourselves from the criminal," Harris said.
Act 746 legalized concealed carry without a permit, provided the individual carrying the weapon either has not -- or does not -- intend to use the weapon to commit a crime.
