LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A car crashed through a Little Rock business on Cantrell yesterday afternoon.
When we arrived to the scene at the Tennis Shoppe, the car was still in the business.
A clerk at the Tennis Shoppe, Sophia Pucek, said she was sitting at the front of the store when she saw a car exit off of Cantrell road very quickly. She attempted to move away but the car came crashing in too fast, according to police reports. Pucek suffered a broken right femur and carpet burns to her face and arms. She was transported to Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock to have surgery on her right femur.
The driver, Carolyn Bunting, said she was attempting to park and hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes. She then hit a car beside her and crashed into the building.
The car was towed and Bunting was cited for careless driving, driving on a suspended license and having no insurance, according to police reports.
The manager of the store also suffered minor cuts to his face but refused medical attention at the scene.
