FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- The North West Arkansas Center for Equality hosted the first ever Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, and Transgender Rally Summit in Fayetteville today.
The goal was to increase education and awareness of the LGBT community. Organizations are joining forces with the community to support an ultimate goal of equality.
Tommy Luckett shared her story with the community hoping to help people in similar situations.
"I want them to know that there are people out there...gone through the same things, fought the same struggles, and managed to come out on the other side," says Luckett.
Organizers hope the conversation about equality continues.
