LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A Little Rock Woman is dead after being shot Saturday night. Little Rock police were called to a home in the 3700 block of West 11th shortly before 10:00 p.m. That's where they found the victim 44-year-old Tanuyna Wilson.

Jeannette Jenkins was with her friend Heather at her apartment on West 11th. That is the same complex Wilson lived in. They heard two gun shots around 9:40 p.m. They rushed outside to find their neighbor laying in front of the complex. They two say this is very shocking.

"Since I've been here in March, I don't see any crime. I don't hear any gun shots like you usually hear from Little Rock. So when this happened it was a major shock to everybody," says Jenkins.

Jenkins also described Wilson as a nice and friendly neighbor. Other neighbors we spoke with say they have no idea why someone would want to hurt Wilson.

As of right now, police have no suspects in custody. But according to witnesses at the scene, they saw a black male run away from the incident in a white button down and slacks.

The police report describes the suspect as a black male, roughly 5'6 and possibly 25 to 40 years old. Anyone with any information is urged to call Little Rock Police.
