Mallory Brooks said her favorite part was talking to Today show anchors Matt Lauer and Natalie Morales. Brooks also added, "Just seeing how genuine and kind they both are. Getting advice on how Natalie balances being a mother and also doing the crazy morning show." Brooks also shared the experience of the behind the scene production for the Kathie Lee and Hoda show. "To see that there is someone who actually brings in the wine glasses. That's his job, to bring in the wine for Kathie Lee and Hoda. It's a whole different ball game in New York, but it was a lot of fun" said Brooks.
Aaron Nolan will join the KARK 4 Today team as the new co-anchor after the recent announcement of current co-anchor Matt Mosler's departure. Mosler is taking a full time position with New Life Church as their Director of Ministries. The trip to New York was a chance for Nolan to prepare for his upcoming new role. Nolan commented with excitement on the trip saying, "Do you know where I was sitting? Right behind me was Kim Kardashian's dressing room." When asked about the traffic Nolan said, "Most of the cab drivers we road with, they didn't say much." Nolan also shared a candid conversation he had with the cab driver in which the two discussed what M.E.T.S stood for. Nolan joked he knew because he was a sports guy but the cab driver joked responding saying, "My entire team sucks."
The crew arrived in New York City early in the morning on August 12, 2014. They shared their moments in the famous Time Square where they grabbed a bite to eat at Famous Original Ray's Pizza. Nolan brought a little big of Arkansas pride with him as he decided to take a picture "Throwing the A" in Time Square.
Overall the trio said it was a great opportunity and they would love to visit New York City again.
