LITTLE ROCK, AR- Churchgoers held a ceremony at Mount Holly Cemetery Saturday to mark the grave of Nathan Warren, a freed slave and founding pastor of the Bethel AME Church.

The church is celebrating it's 150th birthday this year and the headstone was given as a donation by Dr. Sybil Jordan-Hampton who said she made the gesture in honor of her parents, both devoted to the church.

"To make sure the founding pastor of Bethel church can now can be identified in this cemetery," she said. "And that people will know this cemetery is for all Arkansans, all members of the Little Rock community."

The Bethel AME Church will also have a celebration for their birthday Sunday, where they plan on honoring Warren again at that celebration.
