BENTON, AR -- Local bakers volunteer to make sweet treats for children who battle health issues.

On Saturday, the bakers -- known as "Sugar Angels" teamed up to bake a birthday cake for one-year-old Katerina House of Benton.

Katerina was born with four heart defects. She's been in and out of the hospital and has had two heart surgeries.

But this weekend, she took a break to celebrate a milestone.

Katerina's family members said she enjoyed the day and her cake.

"It honestly makes me want to cry because we just know we're so blessed. So blessed. We didn't eve know we'd make it to a year and here we are," said her mother, Candice House.

Natalie Madison is the baker who made the cake.

She said she's glad to know show could bring a smile to someone's face.
