BENTON, AR-- A Benton woman is planning an event for a girl fighting parasitic meningitis, called "Kartwheels for Kali."
The woman says she was inspired to plan the event, after hearing reporter Hubert Tate announce he would do cartwheels for Kali Hardig once her feeding tube is removed.
The 12-year-old has been fighting the brain-eating illness since July 19.
Hubert met Kali in a private meeting Thursday.
Details of the event are still to be planned.
"If everyone is in one group doing 'Kartwheels for Kali', that's motivating itself. We can get everybody out and everyone doing the same thing," said Brittany Cordell.
Viewers can also do "Kartwheels for Kali" by recording the video and posting it on facebook or twitter, using the hashtag kartwheelsforkali.
