ALEXANDER, AR -- Police are investigating after a baby was pronounced dead at a home just 10 days before turning 7 months old.

According to a report taken by the Alexander Police Department (APD), an officer was called to a home in the 16000 block of Redwood Lane last week for a report of an infant who was unresponsive.

Upon arrival, the officer saw firefighters performing CPR on the infant until paramedics arrived and determined that the young boy was dead, according to the report.

The boy has been identified as Yankee Combee, born on April 16, 2013.

According to the Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Fatality Notification website, DHS was called to the same house on an allegation of environmental neglect, which was found to be unsubstantiated.

The website lists alleged offenders as "family member."
