Sweet Rewards for Donating Blood

LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - Hoping the Little Rock community will get a taste for helping save lives, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Blue Bell Ice Cream and the American Red Cross are offering a sweet reward for all who come to give blood at the hospital on July 18.

All presenting blood donors at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital blood drive will receive their choice of a pint of Blue Bell ice cream or a “Give a pint; Get a pint” voucher for a free pint of Blue Bell ice cream anywhere Blue Bell is sold.

“We applaud Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Blue Bell Ice Cream for their support of the Red Cross and patients in need,” said Scott Caswell, CEO of the Red Cross Greater Ozarks-Arkansas Blood Services Region. “Rewarding those who give blood is another way these great partners are caring for the community and supporting the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross.”

Blue Bell says they are proud to support the work of the Red Cross and Arkansas Children’s Hospital by offering an incentive to give on a hot summer day.

“Our pint-for-a-pint promotion is a great way of thanking the people who make time to donate during the summertime. It is also an opportunity to celebrate National Ice Cream Month in July and try one of the many delicious flavors of Blue Bell Ice Cream,” said Doug Hutchins, Blue Bell Branch Manager.
