LITTLE ROCK, AR - New numbers released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services today show 27,395 Arkansans have signed up for health insurance via the Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance marketplace.
Meanwhile, the Department of Human Services has said 127,051 Arkansans have been approved for coverage under the expanded Medicaid program (Private Option), or just more than half of the 250,000 who are estimated to be eligible.
Of those who have been approved for coverage, 93,966 had been enrolled, according to the most recent figures released by the department.
More than 120,000 have insurance via ACA or the Private Option.
Other Arkansas numbers out today:
- Total Eligible to Enroll in a Marketplace Plan: 58,173
- Eligible to Enroll in a Marketplace Plan with Financial Assistance: 38,500
- Determined or Assessed Eligible for Medicaid/CHIP by the Marketplace: 57,455
