LITTLE ROCK, AR - Central Arkansas companies want nurses.
Many hospitals and healthcare providers say the need continues to rise.
Instructors at UALR say the demand is not going away any time soon.
"Not only are the nurses that are already on the workforce aging, but so is our population. The baby boomers are coming to the age where they need more healthcare," says Jamie Jones, Assistant Professor of Nursing.
Healthcare professionals say the coursework is demanding but entry level positions pay roughly $50 thousand a year.
