2 lbs. of Idaho potatoes
4 oz. of butter or margarine (butter preferred)
6 1/2 oz. of milk
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp. of pepper
 
Wash, peel and cut potatoes. Place them inside stock pot and cover with water, cook until fork tender.
 
Drain potatoes in colander and place back into pot. Add butter or margarine along with milk to the cooked potatoes.
 
Mix well with wire whisk until reaching desired consistency. Using spatula, fold in salt and pepper and stir well before serving.
