LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Little Rock Zoo is gearing up for Dollar Day on Saturday (July 12).
The upcoming event, sponsored by Hiland Diary, was announced this morning at the tiger exhibit, where the zoo's still growing Malayan tiger cubs stole the show.
The young ones cautiously crawled out of their enclosure to see the icy treats that zookeepers left out for them to enjoy.
Embedded in ice were brightly colored balls for Liem, Eko, Olan and Asmara to play with after licking all the ice away.
The cubs, who were born November 12, romped around the exhibit with mom Suhana.
On Dollar Day, all Zoo admissions will be priced at $1.00 all day long. Gates will open at 9 a.m. and last admission will be at 4 p.m. with the Zoo closing to the public at 5 p.m. The Zoo will also sell Hiland Dairy drinks and ice cream treats for a $1.00.
Special keeper chats will occur throughout the day as well as the Zoo’s Animal Ambassador show at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
"La La Land" didn't sweep Sunday's 89th Academy Awards as expected,…
It's an Oscar moment that will go down in history.
It's way more than just Motown!
