LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - The Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN), the Museum of Discovery and the Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center have partnered to host a "Cyberchase" community event Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It will take place inside and around the museum and nature center.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with Digit, participate in indoor and outdoor activities, and get free summer learning materials from PBS KIDS. "The Cyberchase Movie" will be showing in the Museum of Discovery with paid admission. Delta Trust will be passing out free ice cream to attendees.
"The Cyberchase Movie," the first-ever film for the PBS KIDS series, is an eco-themed one-hour special that follows Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit as they are called on to rescue the animals and restore harmony to Ecotopia after Hacker and his bumbling robots wreak havoc. Environmental and math topics explored include natural habitats, the impact of habitat loss and proportional reasoning. "The Cyberchase Movie" will air on AETN Tuesday, July 22, at 4:30 p.m.
