Mitch McCoy joined our team in October 2015.
He comes to Arkansas from Nexstar Broadcasting station KQTV (KQ2) in St. Joseph, Missouri, where he worked as a news anchor, reporter and producer over the last year.
Before moving to St. Joseph, Mitch lived and worked in St. Louis, MO and Grand Rapids, MI.
In Grand Rapids, he was added on as an On-Air Contributor for FOX-17, where he hosted, wrote, and produced a “Teen Talk” segment. The segment discussed issues teens were facing in the community.
In 2012, Mitch worked at Cumulus Media/WJRW-AM. He was the mid-afternoon anchor and the host of the 5 p.m. news.
He moved to St. Louis in August 2013 to join KTRS-AM, where he was named Producer of “The Martin Kilcoyne Show” towards the end of 2013.
Mitch has been honored with several broadcasting awards, including “Best News Feature” and “Best Formal Newscast” from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters; “First Place News Anchor” from Michigan State University’s Michigan Interscholastic Press Association; and “Community Focused Broadcasting” from the Michigan Army National Guard.
