Community Matters: Law Enforcement Torch Run

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas law enforcement running from the steps of the State Capitol all the way down to Harding University with an Olympic torch in hand.

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run raises money for the special Olympics. It began as a 30 mile run but now it is a four day relay that covers more than 1,200 miles.

The final stop for the run, opening ceremonies of the Special Olympics at Harding University.

"Heath Hilton being involved in Special Olympics has been a life changing experience for me. It's made me a better person. It's made me a better law enforcement officer," says Eric Bin.

The law enforcement torch run raises over $20M dollars annually for the Special Olympics. More than 15,000 law enforcement officers from all over the world participate each year.
